Our goal is to increase awareness of native and hybrid orchids through education, conservation and cultivation. We meet the second Sunday of the month at the Traverse Area District Library.

Our annual orchid show is quickly approaching. As with the last two years, the show will be held in the Grand Traverse Civic Center located near Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City. The show will officially kick off Saturday the 23rd and will begin with orchid judging performed by American Orchid Society judges. Unfortunately, this process is not open to the public, but you will be able to see the results of the judging when the doors open at 11:00am. If you don't get a chance to make it on Saturday, the doors will open on Sunday at noon and go until 4:00pm.
If you would like to help us promote our event, you can download the flyer and hang it up anywhere it would be appreciated.

· Out-of-Town Visitors: Directions to Civic Center

Since a lot of people visit Traverse City from the south, here are some directions on how to get here from that direction:
- Head north on US-131
- Once past Cadillac, drive ~17 miles and turn left on M-113 (flashing yellow light)
- Follow M-113 for ~10 miles until you reach Kingsley
- Turn right on Garfield Rd (flashing yellow light and sign pointing to Traverse City)
- Follow Garfield Rd for about 12 miles; should be well in to Traverse City by now
- Turn Right on E. 8th Street
- Go about 1/2 mile and turn left on to Civic Center Dr.
- Drive forward through in to parking lot. You will be entering the Civic Center from the south.
- The show will be in the first room on the right as you enter through the large set of doors

· New Location for Annual Show

The new location of our annual show, that is held over Memorial Day weekend, will now be at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center, just off of Front St./US-31, in Traverse City. There is one large room, which is larger than any previous shows, and plenty of parking with easy access for unloading. A link to it's location is here.
